The Panasonic AK-UCX100 is a 4K studio camera for IP-era live production, aimed at studio work, sports broadcasting and stage productions. It resolves 2,000 TV lines horizontally and vertically in 4K and supports High Dynamic Range in the HLG format to BT.2020, with HDR and SDR (BT.709) output at the same time. This is the LEMO connector model with a 2/3-type bayonet lens mount.

The camera head can run standalone without a camera control unit. It has two 12G-SDI outputs and two SFP28 ports and supports SMPTE ST 2110, NDI High Bandwidth and SRT. ST 2110 brings network redundancy and JPEG XS compression for low-latency, visually lossless transport. When a full fiber chain is needed, it connects to the AK-UCU700 or AK-UCU710 CCU or the AK-CFA100 camera fiber adaptor.

Panasonic lists a focus assist function, an autofocus function built into the camera head delivered by firmware, moire reduction, 4K 2x and HD 4x high-speed shooting, and new LED color adjustment tools (Color Temp.
