The Panasonic AK-UBX100 is a box-style 4K multipurpose camera with a 2/3-type bayonet lens mount, built on the same platform as the AK-UCX100 4K studio camera. It is designed for studio production, sports broadcasting and live event stage work, and shares its menu interface and colour matching with the AK-UCX100 and the AW-UE160 4K PTZ camera.

Its MOS sensor uses oversampling to reach 2,000 TV lines horizontally and vertically, with F10 sensitivity at 2000 lux and a signal-to-noise ratio of 62 dB or higher. It outputs HLG (BT.2020) and SDR (BT.709) at the same time. For connectivity it has two 12G-SDI outputs, an HD-SDI output, genlock input and two SFP+/28 slots, giving A/B redundant 4K routes over optical, IP or baseband. IP support covers SMPTE ST 2110 with network redundancy, NDI High Bandwidth, SRT and FreeD (lens information only).

Camera control and tally share a single LAN line, and the AK-UBX100 connects to the same Remote Operation Panel as the AK-UCX100 and AW-UE160. At approx. 1.9 kg, with flat sides and 1/4-inch screw holes, it suits robotic heads, cranes and gimbals, and it adds PDAF autofocus in the camera head.
