The TVLogic FX-5 is a 5.5 inch on-camera monitor built around a 1920 x 1080 panel rated at 2000 cd/m2, so the picture stays readable in direct sun without a hood. Operation is by full touch screen plus four function and preset buttons, and the whole unit weighs 0.66 kg, which keeps it practical on a gimbal, a handheld rig or a lightweight cine camera.

Connectivity is broadcast grade for a monitor this size. One 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI input and one SDI output handle UHD signals up to 3840 x 2160 60p, and the SDI output can carry the LUT-applied image or an HDMI-to-SDI conversion, so an HDMI camera can feed an SDI video village or transmitter. An HDMI input accepts up to 4096 x 2160 60p, with an HDMI output alongside. Power comes in through a LEMO 2-pin 12V DC connector or USB-C PD (45W minimum), and a LEMO passthru output can power a second device.

For exposure and focus the FX-5 carries waveform, vectorscope, false color, focus assist, audio level meters, markers and timecode, plus HDR monitoring in PQ and HLG, custom 3D LUT import, custom anamorphic desqueeze, image capture and overlay for shot matching, picture-by-picture and portrait mode for vertical content.
