The TVLogic SVM-183P is an 18.5 inch 12G-SDI field monitor with a 1920 x 1080 panel rated at 1500 cd/m2 and a 178 degree viewing angle. It is sized for the director, client or DIT position on location, where a larger picture has to stay readable in daylight, and it runs on DC 12V/24V, with dual battery brackets for cable-free operation.

Inputs cover two 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI channels (A/B) with loop outputs, HDMI 1.4, YPbPr and CVBS, and a reference input. A 12G-SDI input can be downscaled to a 3G-SDI output, and a processed output passes on the monitored image. Control runs over LAN (firmware update and remote control), GPI and two RS-422 ports using the TVLogic or TSL protocol, and the SDI payload ID is detected automatically.

The monitoring toolset includes HDR display in PQ, HLG and S-LOG3, custom 3D LUT import by USB flash drive, waveform (YCbCr, RGB), vectorscope, histogram, audio level and phase meters, focus assist, markers, blue and mono only, timecode, picture-by-picture, image capture and overlay, and H/V flip. Can the SVM-183P run on batteries?
